Job brief
Performs traditional Flexo print rewind functions to convert prime labels.
Responsibilities
- Operate label rewinder to produce job according to specification.
- Prepare machines for slitting and rewinding.
- Load substrate, install tooling and rewind press rolls.
- Ensure that print, die cutting, and label count meet specifications.
- Web press rolls through the rewinder and adjust feed and tension controls.
- Search for and correct problems.
- Inspect labels while rewinding.
- Make quick corrections to avoid expensive losses of substrate.
- Oil and clean the rewinder and make minor repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
Requirements
- Machine operator experience a plus.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking ability
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving
- A team player with great communication skills
- Physical strength and stamina – must be able to lift rewound rolls up to 25 lbs.
2nd shift position: 12:45 pm – 8:45 pm
