About the Role
As the Senior Product Owner – Core Payments Engine, you will work with the heart of our payment operations. Our payment engine is the brain behind payment processing, orchestration, and liquidity management, making it critical to our global B2B transactions. Your role is critical in ensuring the engine’s reliability, scalability, and ability to meet the dynamic demands of global B2B customers.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver enhancements that drive customer and business value. We’re looking for someone with deep experience in payment engines or platform product management within B2B FinTech’s, banks, or payment institution.
Key Responsibilities
Product Roadmap
• Define and maintain a customer-focused product roadmap aligned with Inpay’s long-term strategy
• Prioritize features that enhance business value, ensure compliance, and drive operational excellence
Backlog Management
• Own the payment engine backlog, ensuring it’s well-groomed and prioritized to meet sprint goals and customer needs
• Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria aligning business needs with technical feasibility
Collaboration
• Act as the bridge between operations, product, design, development, and commercial teams, driving collaboration and embodying our values: Customer First, Raise the Bar, All In Together, Fearless Innovation, and True to Ourselves.
• Gather and validate requirements, ensuring the payment engine is designed and enhanced to meet regulatory, scalability, and customer-centric needs.
Execution and Delivery
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of features and enhancements, embodying our commitment to excellence in everything we do.
• Conduct regular sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure smooth execution.
Performance and Scalability
• Continuously monitor and analyse the performance of the payment engine, looking for innovative ways to optimize and improve the system.
• Drive initiatives to enhance system scalability, liquidity management capabilities, and orchestration efficiency.
• Develop a deep technical understanding of the engine to drive innovation and tackle complex challenges.
Market and Regulatory Awareness
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics in payment processing and fintech.
Key Must-have Requirements
Experience
• 7 years’ experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role managing payment engines or payment platforms.
• Proven experience in B2B fintech, banks, or payments institutions, with a strong focus on complex payments, liquidity, and orchestration systems.
Domain Expertise
• Deep understanding of payment processing, transaction orchestration, and liquidity management in B2B contexts.
• Knowledge of cross-border payments, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Skills and Tools
• Proficient in agile product management methodologies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and stakeholder management.
• Expertise with tools like Jira, Confluence, and data visualization platforms is a must
Analytical and Communication Skills
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into simple and actionable product features.
• Able to switch contexts as needed and keep perspective on the big picture at all times without being overwhelmed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Soft Skills
• A strong team player, with a proven ability of building effective relationships across cross-functional teams.
• Results-oriented mindset, with a proactive approach to solving problems with a customer-first mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with stablecoin or cryptocurrency payment processing (a plus).
• Background in account-to-account payments, iGaming, or similar industries.
