What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Analyst position at Inpro US/CAN?
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and minimize costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and production, to streamline operations.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to supply chain.
- Conduct research to stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management.
- Monitor inventory receipts, inventory movements, stock levels and replenishment indicators.
- Participate in cycle count program including distributing daily lists and reporting on metrics and performance across the divisions.
- Create production work orders, inventory transfers, and inventory adjustments in accordance with requests and MRP. Primarily for our Clickeze, Endurant, and Jointmaster divisions.
- Investigate inventory issues, analyze root causes, and provide solutions.
- Review and schedule work orders.
- Review inventory planning parameters and work in conjunction with Buyers and the Production Planner to recommend reorder points and lot sizes to ensure efficient on hand inventory
- Assist in managing inventory reductions
- Provide support to the BOM Analyst
- Provide support to the Production Planner
- Maintain good working relationships with all department supervisors.
- Maintain an understanding of manufacturing operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 4-year bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 years of operations or Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Microsoft Excel experience required.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets.
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of current processes make enhancements when necessary.
- ERP experience preferred, NetSuite experience a plus.
