Job Summary: This is a position that will fabricate high quality signs according product to specifications in the Signscape division to ensure customer satisfaction.
Hours: Monday - Friday; 2:00am - 10:00am
Primary Duties:
- Pull and cut material per order specification
- Learn and stay current with signage ADA specifications.
- Gain full understanding of the engraver machine.
- Gain full understanding of catalog offerings in signage and fonts.
- Import/export new pictograms into system.
- Create Sign layouts for production team.
- Coordinate with design and sales staff to fabricate signs.
- Continuous improvement of new software for signage division.
- Assemble signage.
- Create cut files for Zund routers.
- Pack and ship completed orders.
- Cross train to gain a basic proficiency in all production cells relating to sign production.
- All other tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality assurance throughout production process.
- Fabricate orders.
- Maintain communications with all manufacturing and office employees.
- Assist in training of new employees.
- Gain and maintain working knowledge of Netsuite, Salesforce, Gravostyle, Corel, Adobe, and PrintFactory
- Work as part of a team to meet or exceed customer expectations
Job Specifications:
- Basic math skills and the ability to understand measurements.
- Ability to read technical documents
- Ability to distinguish colors.
- Ability to use power tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Proficient knowledge in Windows and Microsoft 365
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Relations:
- Reports directly to Signscape Lead.
- Works with all manufacturing departments.
- Works with sales on Signscape orders.
- Work with IT on computer related programs or problems.
Authority:
- Authority to stop production for non-conforming quality or safety compliance.
- To support company policies and procedures.
- Report non-conforming material and safety non-compliance to management.
- Make decisions to accept or reject according to quality specifications.
- Make logical decisions based on experience and/or company policy.
