KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop sound cost-effective strategies for purchasing materials.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers while scouting for additional vendors.
- Evaluate spending operations and improve product quality and delivery timeliness.
- Communicate with management regarding efficient goods and services flow.
- Conduct cost analyses and set benchmarks for improvement.
- Develop risk management procedures to mitigate losses.
- Supervise a purchasing team and delegate tasks when necessary.
- Work with the legal department to ensure favorable contracts and terms.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Five or more years of job-related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in procurement management, supply chain management, or a business-related field.
- Outstanding management skills.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
- Negotiation and networking talent.
- Experience with supplier management software.
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
- Strong organization skills.
