About the Position
Improve performance of supply chain through robust supplier qualification and monitoring. Leads S&OP and scheduling activities. Accountable for optimizing and controlling inventory levels. Works with Manufacturing in developing and maintaining accurate and effective capacity models. Uses SAP and MS suite tools for curating and communicating information. Has supervisory responsibility for employees within operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supply Chain:
- Develop and maintain supplier qualification process
- Develop and maintain Supplier Report Card
- Negotiate with suppliers to drive down cost and lead-time
- Work closely with related departments on solving raw material issues
- Determine supply chain of each product and where final assembly is performed
- Scheduling:
- Lead and prepare material for S&OP meetings
- Enters and manages the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to drive shop floor execution
- Effectively communicates MPS additions and changes
- Accountable for confirming ship dates on new orders within 48 hours
- Inventory:
- Develop and maintain a robust cycle count process
- Accountable for setting and maintaining optimal inventory levels
- Accountable for yearend Physical Inventory
- Capacity:
- Develop and maintain capacity planning model
- Make recommendations on changes to capacity to hit targets
- Analyze load-leveling and bottlenecks for more accurate scheduling
- SAP:
- Accountable for work centers, routers, and inventory settings within SAP
- Accountable for MRP and auto-scheduling parameters
- Streamline data collection and reporting
- Develop and maintain management reports as required
- Participate in and contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) priorities
- Performs other related duties, as required.
Schedule: Monday through Friday within standard office hours.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or related field required.
- Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) certification a plus
Experience:
- At least ten (10) years of related experience in a component manufacturing environment required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Extremely proficient with SAP
- Strong Microsoft Suite skills a must: Excel; Pivot tables, PowerPivot and Power BI
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: ability to question, accurately identify a need, and present an effective solution with great attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize time effectively and work with little supervision
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner
