Independent Contractor (Direct Support Professional)

We Need: InReach is looking for an Independent Contractor/Direct Support Professional for a male individual with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in Charlotte, area code 28207. The Independent Contractor will provide Community Networking services.
What You'll Do:
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individuals identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individuals develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and maintain safe driving record
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred
Hours: 10 hrs/week, Monday: 10 AM - 3 PM, Saturday: 12 PM - 5 PM
Location: Charlotte, NC 28207
Pay Rate: $22.27/hr

*** This DSP position is an Independent Contractor position. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for their direct deposits. Additional fees required for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
