We Need:
InReach needs a Independent Contractor to work as Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff for an Adult Female Individual with Developmental Disabilities in Waxhaw, NC in the Union County location.
DSP Staff will provide Community Living & Support Services and Community Networking Services for 3 days per week in the home and out in the community. (CLS and CN Services). Access to a vehicle will be provided for transport.
**Must be able to handle a wheelchair to help lift and transfer
**Must be able to handle personal care needs along with other physical tasks as needed
**Must be willing to transport and accompany out in the community
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (8am to 4pm) w/ some flexibility
Evening Hours also available (7pm to 10pm)
Pay Rate: CLS Services @ $20.35/hr and CN Services @ $22.27/hr
What You'll Do:
- Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
- Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
- Facilitate community integration.
- Help individual develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitoring dosages.
- Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.
All InReach applicants must have a high school diploma (or GED), a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a drug screen and background check. One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred.
*** This DSP position is an Independent Contractor position. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for their direct deposits. Additional fees required for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
Salary : $20 - $23
