About The Role
As a Manager I, Data Products, you will support analysts and data engineers to create efficient data models, troubleshoot SQL issues, improve documentation, and ensure data quality while owning a specific data product. Your experience leading into this role should reflect domain knowledge in data modeling and ingestion for analytical needs, including experience adapting to changing technologies and/or client priorities.

About The Role
As a Manager I, Data Products, you will support analysts and data engineers to create efficient data models, troubleshoot SQL issues, improve documentation, and ensure data quality while owning a specific data product. Your experience leading into this role should reflect domain knowledge in data modeling and ingestion for analytical needs, including experience adapting to changing technologies and/or client priorities.
In This Position You Will
- Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle of outreach lead lists for a national-level outreach program that encourages millions of Americans to enroll in healthcare coverage
- Manage the overall technical approach to consumer segmentation, ensuring that personalized and relevant information is delivered to the right audiences
- Be responsible for process and version control documentation for developing outreach lead lists, iterating for continuous improvement
- Communicate and collaborate with non-technical business owners to ensure that outreach lead lists meet the needs and priorities of the program
- Monitor policy changes that may impact consumers and identify the data variables needed to create those outreach lists
- Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to learn from the performance of existing consumer segments to improve future development of outreach lead lists
- Support the refactoring of existing code using dbt or other code development best practices, working with analytics and data science team members to design new data models as needed
- Collaborate with the team to establish quality standards and metrics for data assets
- Audit existing SQL code to find efficiencies and add documentation
- Complete such other reasonable tasks as may be assigned by management
- 4 years of SQL experience; experience across multiple platforms e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Vertica, etc is a plus
- Experience working with automated data pipelines and orchestration tools like Airflow
- Ability to diagnose and improve database and query performance issues
- Some knowledge with object-oriented programming, preferably Python
- Familiarity with Git, or experience with other version control system
- A high attention to detail and ability to effectively manage and prioritize several tasks or projects concurrently
- Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with team members of varied backgrounds, roles, and functions
- Passion in applying your skills to our social mission to problem-solve and collaborate within a cross-functional team environment
- The ability to successfully attain and maintain a Federal Public Trust background investigation that our government clients require; this includes a requirement that the individual has U.S. Citizenship, or U.S. residency for three of the past five years (minimum 36 of the past 60 months).
- Working with geospatial and marketing data
- Working with business intelligence software like Tableau, PowerBi, or Qlik.
