The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Risk Operations Analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for monitoring, assessing and improving fraud detection on behalf of our customers. You will also have the opportunity to recommend and implement best practices to detect and prevent fraud. This role requires a self-starter with strong analytical skills and a passion for fighting fraud.
Responsibilities
Support our customers and monitor incoming customer documents to identify high-risk and fraudulent activity.
Perform retroactive analysis to identify fraud patterns and new methods of catching fraud.
Analyze large datasets to detect patterns, trends and anomalies indicative of fraudulent activities.
Utilize fraud detection software and tools to enhance monitoring and investigative capabilities.
Prepare detailed reports on fraud incidents, findings and recommendations for process improvements.
Generate activity reports for internal reviews and customer check-ins.
Contribute to ad hoc projects such as collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective fraud prevention strategies and improving our fraud detection systems.
About You
Have 2 years of experience in fraud, risk operations or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to research and detect fraud, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Google Suite, Excel).
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment (previous startup experience is a plus).
Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
Customer-focused and willing to dig deeply into a problem to find a solution.
Familiarity with risk management frameworks and compliance standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Interview Process
Initial Screen with the Hiring Manager to share your experience (45 minutes).
Check In Call with the Head of People to understand your motivations and expectations (30 minutes).
Take Home Technical Exercise followed by a live discussion with 1-2 team members to assess your technical ability (1 hour).
