Position Summary :
The Junior Estimator reports to the Estimator and / or Director of Construction. This position is responsible for assisting with preparing and evaluating project bids, ensuring accurate cost estimate and efficient project delivery. Review and interpret construction drawings, assist with bid preparation, compiling estimate documentation, and communicating with subcontractor for pricing information.
Responsibilities :
- Analyzing construction drawings and specifications and understanding project scope and requirements.
- Collaborating with estimators compiling bid documents and estimates for ongoing projects.
- Contacting subcontractors and qualifying potential subcontractors for bids, including obtaining pricing and scope information.
- Assisting in assembling project estimate books and ensuring all documentation is included and complete.
- Engaging in consistent communication with subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members gathering necessary data and information for estimates.
- Providing administrative support to the Estimator and Director of Construction, assisting with managing project timelines and maintaining accurate and current records for bids and estimates.
