As the Production Planning / Scheduler , you will create production schedules and ensure they align with customer demand, inventory levels, and materialavailability while optimizing production efficiency and resource utilization. Thisrole requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, customerexperience team, engineering, production, inventory, logistics, finance, andprocurement, to ensure seamless execution of the production plan.
In this role, you will :
- Develop and manage production schedules for assigned production areas within a site ensuring alignment with customer orders, forecast demand, andproduction capacity.
- Ensure consistency in production planning processes, accurate ERP schedulingtransactions, and timely plan adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the Master Scheduler, Procurement and Sales,Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) team to ensure alignment betweenoverall demand and department production schedules.
- Ensure efficient use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment,while minimizing production downtime and bottlenecks.
- Monitor and adjust production plans in response to changes in customerdemand, material availability, or capacity constraints.
- Collaborate with materials, fabrication & procurement teams to ensure timelymaterial availability for production.
- Track and report on key production planning metrics, such as on-time delivery,schedule attainment, schedule adherence, capacity, and production efficiency.
- Proactively identify and mitigate production risks, such as resource constraints, machine availability, or material shortages.
- Use the ERP system and other software tools to manage scheduling processesand ensure accurate, real-time data is available for decision-making.
- Communicate regularly with site production managers / supervisors, operationsteams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on production priorities andtimelines.
