Our client is seeking a driven Regional Sales Specialist to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction within the Mid-Atlantic territory. This role combines sales acumen with technical expertise to drive revenue and build strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of the critical power industry, a hunter mentality, and a proven ability to effectively collaborate with 3rd party manufacturing reps.
As a Regional Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for achieving sales quotas, managing customer relationships, and driving demand through effective territory management. Your ability to uncover customer needs, articulate the value of company solutions, and close deals will be essential to your success. This role requires a combination of sales skills, technical knowledge, and a results-oriented mindset. This role will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
In this role, you will :
- Manage a sales territory by building and maintaining customer relationships, closing deals, and collaborating with 3rd party reps within a designated territory.
- Achieve assigned sales quotas for revenue and potentially other metrics like units sold.
- Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape within the territory, identifying opportunities and threats.
- Prepare accurate and insightful sales reports to track performance, identify trends, and inform future strategies.
- Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with MFG Reps to drive demand within the territory, performing ride-a-longs, lunch & learns, and providing deep technical expertise and training.
- Provide quarterly rep assessments, utilizing playbook tools to evaluate capabilities and gaps, making recommendations to the manager.
- Navigate the sales process from initial contact to closing deals, ensuring all stages are completed efficiently, and maximize the ability to win business.
- Identify and qualify sales leads through prospecting and market research activities.
- Uncover and understand the specific needs and challenges faced by clients within the territory.
- Present and tailor product or service offerings to directly address the identified needs of clients.
- Provide deep knowledge of products and their capabilities to effectively address customer needs through technical presentations, demos, etc.
- Close deals with clients, effectively setting customer expectations to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Demonstrate effective utilization of CRM, effectively managing a sales funnel, and providing actionable feedback on customer interactions, market trends, and expected demand.
- Attend tradeshows, customer events, regional association meetings, and corporate engagementson the company's behalf.

The base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $115,000 annually.
