Job Description Summary / TWC Summary :
The Department of Computer Science (CS) in Texas Southern University is seeking to fill several part-time Instructor positions, at the level of adjunct Instructor. This appointment is without tenure and is not tenure track. This appoiintment is for one semester only and may be renewed as needed. The successful persons will be responsible to teach two CS classes in the hired semester and assume a reasonable workload of related activities that constitute a 50% full-time instructional load; Schedule and maintain office hours for minimum of (2) hours per class per week in the hired semester, and Perform scholarly activities, quality instruction and public service commensurate with the mission of Texas Southern University.
Essential Duties Summary :
- Teaching CS courses.
- Performs other job-related duties such as but not limited to :
- Maintain and submits an accurate student attendance.
- Report Non-attending students by the 12th day of the semester.
- Submits the student progress reports by the dates advertised during the semester.
- Submit the mid-term grades as well as the final grades by the dates advertised during the semester.
- Any other course related task as assigned.
FTE : Hiring Range :
Commensurate with experience.
Education :
A Master (PhD) degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required to terach undergraduate (Graduate) classes.
