Job Summary
An Assistant Professor of Forensic Sciences is sought to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in various aspects of forensic science, including crime scene investigation, forensic biology, chemistry, and toxicology, while actively conducting research in their area of expertise, publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals, and mentoring student researchers, contributing to the development and maintenance of a robust forensic science program within the university

Responsibilities
Teaching :
- Deliver undergraduate and graduate level courses in forensic science disciplines like crime scene investigation, forensic biology, forensic chemistry, and advanced topics related to their area of expertise.
- Develop and implement new course curriculum to keep pace with advancements in forensic science.
- Design and oversee laboratory exercises for hands-on learning in forensic techniques.
- Provide effective instruction and assessment of student learning.

Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry or Forensic Science or a closely related field with a strong foundation in relevant scientific disciplines
Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate and / or graduate level
Active research program with a record of peer-reviewed publications
Expertise in specific forensic science techniques such as DNA analysis, trace evidence analysis, toxicology, or digital forensics
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in Biology, Chemistry or Forensic Science or a closely related field with a strong foundation in relevant scientific disciplines
Proposed Salary
Salary range is from $51,600 to $59,000

Knowledge and experience of teaching, mentoring and assessing Forensic Science students

Skill at advising and mentoring students.
Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to design / develop and deliver course content in in-person, virtual, and hybrid modalities.
