Position Purpose :
This position serves as the initial point of contact for all matters concerning the Geisel School of Medicine’s DHMC-Lebanon campus buildings. In this capacity, the Building Manager is expected to coordinate, make recommendations, and provide oversight for necessary maintenance and building upkeep activities, and to manage and provide oversight over occupant moves / relocations, small scale renovation projects, and other tasks necessary to ensure Geisel’s DHMC-Lebanon campus meets the programmatic needs of Geisel’s education and research missions.
The Building Manager, in conjunction with the Director of Facilities and in coordination with Dartmouth Hitchcock’s (D-H’s) Facilities and Engineering groups, ensures that Geisel’s DHMC-Lebanon campus buildings are supported by a robust facilities maintenance program, and shall also serve as a liaison with Dartmouth College’s FO&M group and external contractors and vendors, as needed. Provides oversight and supervision for the Borwell loading dock.
Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp :
Associates or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities :
- Associates degree with courses in accounting, budget administration and / or facilities / project management, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ten or more years of relevant experience in facilities management.
- Experience in developing and managing operating and capital budgets for building maintenance activities.
- Willingness and ability to exercise judgment and initiative and to interact with a diverse set of faculty students and staff in a professional manner.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively, independently, and as a member of a team.
- Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain and foster confidentiality.
- Proficiency in database management, spreadsheets, and other computer software.
