JOB SUMMARY :

Transports students, staff, program participants or visitors, to and from program areas safely. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES :

45% - Essential - Driver :

Transport students, staff, program participants or visitors to and from program areas. Drive vehicles, cars, buses to the various sites for programmatic use.

50% - Essential - Safety :

Responsible for load safely secured and roadworthy before departure. Visually inspect bus for any needed repairs / maintenance and make sure they have been completed. Ensure oil and filters have been changed in accordance with maintenance procedures. Ensure tires are inflated, and inspected for damage and are in good working order.

5% - Essential - Other :

Other duties as assigned by the program or facilities directors.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Experience in the operation or maintenance of heavy equipment, motorized vehicles or machinery that is directly related to the area of employment.

Licenses - Drivers License Class B CDL

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS :

Education - High School or Equivalent - operating a motorized vehicle directly related to area of employment

RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB KNOWLEDGE

Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

40% - Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period

60% - Recognize or inspect visually, Perceive, observe, clarity of vision

WORKING CONDITIONS : 0% -

WORK SCHEDULE : Standard Hrs : 28

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Band : 02 ($11.18 / hr)

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
