Job Description
Montgomery College, Rockville Campus, has an immediate need for a Full-time Senior Program Director for the Early Childhood Education Alternative Certification Program (ECACP). The work schedule is 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. This is a Non-Bargaining, Exempt, Grade 35 position. This position is currently eligible for telework up to 2 days a week. This eligibility is subject to change based on the needs of the unit.
This is a grant funded, temporary position with benefits funded through June 30, 2025, with the possibility of continuation, beyond this period, contingent upon funding.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Direct the Early Childhood Education Alternative Certification Program in partnership with Education and Social Sciences and WDCE at Montgomery College.
- Collaborate with Early Childhood Programs countywide and statewide (centers), family childcare providers, Montgomery County Public Schools, and Maryland State Department of Education.
- Consult with deans, chairs, and directors regarding the scheduling of credit and noncredit classes necessary for program completion.
- Collaborate with WDCE to recruit and assign program faculty and staff. Schedule part-time faculty trainings and other professional development opportunities.
- Observe WDCE faculty teaching and provide feedback.
- Lead curriculum development and assessment efforts as required.
- Collaborate with the Office of Business Services and the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs regarding budget monitoring, procurement, and grant administration and compliance efforts.
- Visit childcare centers, Early Childhood Education (ECE) organizations, and ECE settings to facilitate partnerships and recruitment.
- Coordinate student advising efforts related to the program.
- Serve as point of contact for ECACP program, engaging with state and local internal and external partners. Disseminate information to faculty, staff, and administrators as necessary.
- Manage grants and submit reports and other communications as required. Conduct routine grant outcome assessment. Collaborate with WDCE in the development, coordination, and delivery of grant-funded ECE / WDCE initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
Hiring Range $95,791 to $131,713 / annually. Initial salary placement is based on candidate experience and internal equity. Please include a complete resume including all relevant and related work experience.
