As a member of the Office of Engineering and Utilities, the Sustainable Facilities Analyst is responsible for advising, reporting, and community engagement in supporting internal communication programs to educate and engage the University community on sustainable systems within Facilities including greenhouse gas emission reduction, waste management, Stormwater management, improving health and safety, and efficient building energy systems.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Report work that includes applying for awards and certifications on behalf of the university, leading grant application efforts, and supporting operational performance reports as needed.
- Work with the waste management and facilities supervisors, Office of Sustainability, campus partners, and the Georgetown University community to identify opportunities to revitalize and maintain initiatives to reduce, minimize, or eliminate material and utility waste campus-wide towards zero waste.
- Work with all Facilities Supervisors to minimize material and energy waste.
- Work with the Grounds Supervisor and Environmental Health and Safety to revitalize, maintain, and optimize Stormwater management, including a strategy for optimizing Stormwater Retention Credits (SRCs).
- Work closely with the Office of Sustainability and Waste Management in leading efforts to achieve Georgetown's ambitious long-term vision of achieving Zero Waste (defined by industry standards as at least 90% diversion rate for solid waste).
- Support internal communication programs to educate and engage the University community on sustainable systems within Facilities.
- Track waste management and grounds initiatives that reduce operational waste and maximize reuse with associated supervisors as their subject matter expert.
Work Interactions
Working in the Planning and Facilities Management Department, the position reports directly to the Associate Director of Energy & Sustainable Programs within the Engineering and Utilities Office. During the course of the workday, the incumbent will interact directly with faculty, staff, administrators, employees, students, senior leadership, neighbors, external partners, vendors, government agencies, and the general public. The position will collaborate with colleagues and partners as needed to accomplish the department's goals. Such partners include Aramark (Hoya Hospitality), the Office of Sustainability, Office of Neighborhood Life, GUSA, Residential Living, Residential Education, EH&S, SSC, GEMS, as well as other shops and divisions internal to PFM, and others.

Pay Range :
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is :
54,616.00 - $100,493.33
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
