Job Summary
This position provides specialized development, security and user support for major software applications.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical and user support for a variety of software applications; resolves problems and provides solutions.
- Administers system security for a variety of software applications.
- Designs internal reports for all offices as required.
- Coordinates department purchasing; obtains quotes; prepares requisitions for all hardware, software and maintenance contracts.
- Assists in researching, testing and implementing new applications.
- Provides orientation and training for new faculty and staff.
- Installs, updates and replaces computers hardware and software in labs, classrooms, and faculty and staff offices.
- Removes viruses and malware from campus computers.
- Assists students in setting up personal devices; advises students on computer / software compatibility issues.
- Sets up computers and multimedia equipment for events and presentations.
- Inventories computer hardware and peripherals.
- Provides support for peripheral equipment, including printers and scanners.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
