Organization

The Intermediate Security Analyst plays an important role on the Accounts and Access team, part of the system-wide IT Services team. The position reports to the Accounts and Access - Lead and is dedicated to ensuring users receive appropriate accounts and access to University resources. The individual provides expert assistance in the configuration, access, removal, and review of University ERP systems. They will assist in the development, maintenance, and documentation of account process and act as an account and access escalation point for the OU IT Service Desk. Duties :

Collaborate with business units and IT teams to implement policies and procedures related to ERP system access and

security.

Manage user access and security in ERP systems, ensuring that users have the appropriate level of access based on

their roles and responsibilities.

Assist stakeholders with user role audits in ERP systems to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Perform elevated support for account related inquiries.

Create, disable, delete, and modify accounts using documented methods and approved products / procedures.

Create, modify, and delete permission lists and roles within University systems.

Collaborate with end-users, core users, and internal teams on account resolution.

Document account and access procedures and processes.

Create, modify, and manage users and resources in AD and M365.

Perform daily account tickets and tasks (on-boarding, termination, account access)

Investigate opportunities to utilize automated processes to assist in account related inquiries and requests.

Periodically participates in after-hours system maintenance and on-call support.

Job Location

Required Education and Experience : Bachelors degree, AND :

36 months experience in Security Administration or a related field.

Equivalency Substitution : Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelors degree for a total of 84 months experience.

Skills :

Ability to work in a high-stress environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, and teaching skills

Advanced anticipation, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to remain current on the latest technology and best practices in information security

Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

Certifications : None

Advertised Physical Requirements :

Physical : Sit for prolonged periods. Ability to engage in repetitive motions. Manual dexterity. Communicates effectively and listens.

Environmental : Office Work Environment. May be on call outside of normal business hours.

Departmental Preferences :

ITIL Training / Certified or experience in ITIL.

Knowledge of AD, PeopleSoft ERP Systems, and Account and Access Processes

Knowledge of Exchange and M365

Supervision of Others : None
