What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lecturer, Pharmacy position at InsideHigherEd?
About You
As the Lecturer, you will be expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the school, aligned with the Pharmacy discipline. More specifically, you are responsible for carrying out teaching activities within the pharmacy program and for maintaining and advancing your scholarly, research and / or professional capabilities. This position will predominately be a teaching focused position to support the teaching and learning for the pharmacy program. You will also be expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. You will be expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the teaching team, and update colleagues and students on developments in their subject area or specialisation. You may also be responsible for course coordination.
To be successful in this position, you'll have / you'll have as a minimum :
- Demonstrated ability to prepare, deliver and assess pharmacy courses. Experience with teaching in both pharmacy practice and pharmaceutics would be favourable.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience as a pharmacist.
- Ability to undertake course coordination role.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning.
- Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas.
- Ability to build effective networks with colleagues and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with students, staff and industry, together with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Qualifications
Mandatory : PhD or equivalent in relevant field. AHPRA pharmacist registration.
