Salary Range : $55,000.00 - $56,815.00 Salary
Position Summary
Working under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, Technician will maintain a safe, attractive and comfortable environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors to the campus. Will use knowledge and experience in the trades to conduct general building maintenance and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of facility maintenance tasks involving the following skill trades : plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and preventative maintenance scheduling.
- Installs, repairs, and maintains lavatories, sinks, toilets, urinals, wash basins, drains, gas and electric heaters / water heaters, water filters, water pumps, boilers, HVAC units, water valves, drinking fountains, and other plumbing systems.
- Repairs and maintains equipment, fabrication using arc welding, brazing and acetylene.
- Performs electrical repair such as installing light fixtures, light tubes, outlets, switches, and ballasts.
- Performs preventative maintenance on electrical, heating, air conditioning, motorized equipment, generators, and building alarm / building management systems.
- Maintains, repair, and troubleshoot appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, ovens, and dishwashers, etc.
- Competently and safely uses a variety of hand and power tools, as well as shop equipment.
- Competently and safely performs tasks on building roofs and other exterior areas using and scaling extension and step ladders.
- Competently and safely operates motorized vehicles including vans, trucks, and tractors as needed.
