What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Specialist position at InsideHigherEd?
The Executive Vice Chancellor’s Office seeks a highly effective and dependable Project Specialist. The Project Specialist will provide specialized support and project management for a wide variety of initiatives, programs, annual processes, and reporting. Project support will include, but not limited to, managing complex processes such as promotion and tenure, academic program reviews, and a variety of requests for proposal submissions. The position will support and facilitate the office’s efforts in meeting the University’s N2025 goals. The position will also assist with general office responsibilities and join a very collaborative and energetic team.
Minimum qualifications include :
Associate degree and four (4) years of related experience; or a bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years of experience; or six (6) years of related experience required.
Successful candidates should provide evidence of experience in managing complex projects with multiple deadlines, conducting research, knowledge of university structure and systems, and demonstrate the use of sound judgment and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
Proficiency in Word processing and spreadsheets, excellent communication and organizational skills, a willingness to learn new things, ability to work independently, and a strong service-centered philosophy is also required.
Preferred qualifications include :
The ideal candidate may have a familiarity with Microsoft forms, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, NURamp, Adobe Acrobat Pro and / or tableau is preferred.
