Facilities Services Division provides quality customer service by maintaining a safe, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing environment in which students, faculty, and staff can function and accomplish their educational objectives and by supporting a patient care culture that continuously improves. Facilities Services' responsibilities include Interior and Exterior Facilities Support, Construction, Space Management, and Environmental Services.

Job Summary

This position will be responsible for the scheduling, coordinating, and implementation of the logistical / administrative activities. Other responsibilities may include all clerical effort related to the bid files, tabulating bids submitted and expediting.

Responsibilities

The job duties include, but are not limited to :

  • Perform receptionist and clerical duties.
  • Complete the paperwork for purchases.
  • Maintain and track the purchase.
  • Collect all invoices and purchase.
  • Perform other related duties.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from a recognized state or federal accredited High School, GED or equivalent with two years of directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications

Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Experience

PeopleSoft Financials experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Abilities

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software / databases

Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills

Knowledge

Understanding of financial and / or cost accounting concepts

Proficiency in MS Excel

Critical thinking skills

Ability to interact on a daily basis with operational staff in Finance

Shift / Salary / Benefits

Shift : Days : Monday - Friday

Pay Band : 6

Salary Minimum : $18.85 / hour - $20.29 / hour

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Recruitment Period : 2 / 19 / 25 - Until Filled

Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.

For Faculty Hires : Final candidates will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational / credential evaluation.
