Position Summary :
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Student Engagement & Programs Manager will lead and enhance all student programs and initiatives across the Carl Vinson Institute of Government (Institute) which currently include : the Vinson Institute Fellows Program, PROPEL Rural Scholars Program, and Georgia Legislative Internship Program (GLIP); as well as new student orientation, student engagement, student professional development, and student recruitment efforts. The incumbent will also collaborate with the HR team on the broader employee experience.
The Student Engagement & Programs Manager will collaborate internally across each of the Institute’s eight divisions to accomplish tasks. This position will also serve as the primary point of contact with external stakeholders, including but not limited to, schools / colleges, Graduate School, Experiential Learning, Student Affairs, Office of Institutional Diversity, Career Center, etc. to cultivate and strengthen our partnerships across campus and enhance our student programs. Independent judgment is involved to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload, as well as evaluate and implement meaningful changes to student program practices or procedures.
