Essential Job Duties :
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented undergraduate student to join our Turfgrass Pathology Research Lab, which specializes in studying fungal diseases affecting turfgrasses. As a laboratory assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting ongoing research activities and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
- Sample Collection and Preparation : Assist in the collection and preparation of turfgrass samples for fungal disease analysis.
- Laboratory Maintenance : Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lab, ensuring a conducive environment for research activities.
- Data Entry and Record-Keeping : Accurately record experimental data, maintain detailed laboratory notebooks, and assist in organizing research findings.
- Equipment Operation : Operate and maintain laboratory equipment used in the analysis of fungal diseases, following established protocols.
- Collaboration : Collaborate with other team members, including researchers and graduate students, to contribute effectively to ongoing projects.
- Literature Review : Conduct literature reviews to stay informed about the latest developments in fungal pathology related to turf grasses
Qualifications :
Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Plant Pathology, Microbiology, Agronomy, etc.).
