Job Overview
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for the company, ensuring that all transactions are correctly recorded and financial reports are prepared promptly and accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Prepare financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Maintain an organized filing system for both physical and digital documents.
- Handle additional duties as required to support operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and other financial tools.
- Attention to Detail: Good analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and detail in managing financial records.
- Time Management: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams and external vendors.
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Understanding generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant accounting practices.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and issues in financial records.
- Satisfactory completion of criminal background and credit check.
