Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients' health and report any changes in condition to appropriate personnel.
- Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities and outings.
- Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a group home or providing home community care is preferred.
- Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and memory care techniques is highly desirable.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Basic cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for clients.
