Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation for medical records.
- Administer catheter care and assist with other medical procedures as required.
- Support patients with dementia and other cognitive impairments through compassionate caregiving techniques.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist in the medical office environment by managing patient records and scheduling appointments as needed.
- Demonstrate knowledge of physiology to understand patient needs and respond appropriately.
Requirements
- Experience in hospice care or memory care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with catheter care and the ability to monitor vital signs effectively.
- Knowledge of physiology and its application in patient care.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong desire to provide quality caregiving services.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate patient schedules.
