Position Description
Insight Editions seeks a dynamic and motivated Sales Coordinator to join a book publishing sales team that is passionate about the licensing brands we represent and committed to supporting our retail accounts and online booksellers to better connect fans and readers with the most fun and innovative pop culture books in the country. In this role you will provide support to the Insight Editions internal and external sales teams. This role will work closely with sales, editors, inventory, and marketing teams to ensure metadata and pre-sales materials are available as quickly as possible to support long-lead selling schedules.
In this role you will work with a variety of publishing formats across multiple brands including Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, Pokémon, New Regency Films, Minecraft, and many others. Experience with licensed books is a plus. This role is a great opportunity for a candidate to learn the sales and marketing process for a global book company that publishes across many formats. The coordinator will report to the Head of Global Sales and Marketing and collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and creative services team members within an exciting, highly creative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the internal domestic and international sales teams in an administrative capacity and play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day functions of the department, including team schedules, follow-up notes, and tracking approvals.
- Serve as primary point of contact for the sales department
- Support sales managers by preparing account presentations and organizing product samples
- Track and monitor confirmed retail placement and coop commitments
- Maintain and distribute weekly sales reports
- Attend weekly sales, acquisitions and inventory meetings
- Work closely with editorial, design, and marketing to make sure art deadlines are met for seasonal sales conferences including management of sales presentation decks for each conference.
- Maintain title updates and timing of data entry to ensure metadata edits are correct across all title management, account and sales portals, and data reporting systems.
Qualifications
This is a full-time remote position based in NYC or hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area from our San Rafael office.
Salary : $45,000 - $50,000 based on experience level
