Graduate from an accredited dental school
7 years of post-dental graduate experience
5 years of experience in supervising and managing dental staff, and managing budgets

Job Description :
The Clinical Dental Director is responsible for overseeing the Dental Department’s clinical services and supervising the dental staff in partnership with the Health Systems Director. The Clinical Dental Director also functions as a general dentist performing superior restorative, prosthodontic, surgical, endodontic, interceptive orthodontic and periodontal treatment. The Clinical Dental Director’s time will be split 40 / 60 with administrative time being forty percent (40%) of the regular work week and with the remaining sixty percent (60%) of the time being clinical patient care.
Day to Day
Responsible for operational, financial, and continuous improvement within the Dental Department.
Perform all aspects of dentistry that fall within a General Dentist’s technical and educational expertise.
Ensures accurate and timely dental chart records for the entire Dental Department clinical staff.
Develops, reviews, and revises dental care related policies, protocols and procedures to adapt to new laws in healthcare in collaboration with the Health Systems Director.
Participates in quality assurance and improvement with the Quality, Compliance and Privacy Department.
Ensure operational efficiency of clinic programs including staffing, scheduling and cost-benefit of programs; advises on facilities and equipment purchases and repair.
Coaches, mentors and trains dental staff by setting clear expectations and setting professional development goals for the dental staff in partnership with the Dental Manager.
Pursue professional growth and development through continuing education.
