Job Description

Must Haves :

1 year of Front and Back office experience as a Medical Assistant
Active BLS certificate from the American Heart Association
Ability to work on-site Monday-Friday in Foothill Ranch, CA
Strong Customer Service Skills

Plusses :

CMA strongly preferred

EPIC or NextGen experience

Bilingual in English / Spanish

Computer familiarity

Ability to multitask

COVID-19 and Flu Vaccine required, declination available if mask is worn on-site

Day to Day :

A large healthcare client of Insight Global is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team in Foothill Ranch. This position will be a Front Office position but will need to also be open to back office responsibilities as needed. The responsibilities will include, but not be limited to :

Gathers clinical data.

Accurately completes and maintains medical records and documentation.

Maintains exam rooms and pod areas. Prepares, stocks, and clean rooms.

Prepares and administers medications as directed by the provider and within their scope of practice as outlined by the California Medical Board.

Schedules and informs patients regarding procedures.

Collects and handles specimens / cultures following established policies and procedures.

Follows pain management protocols.

Prepares patients for procedures and assists providers.

Locates and uses equipment required for patient care in a safe manner and reports any equipment problems promptly.

Performs tests and controls for CLIA Waived testing according to policy and procedures.

Knowledgeable and able to perform procedures requiring clean and / or sterile technique.

Follows sterile instrument processing protocol.

Completes patient referrals.

Identifies and completes Insurance preauthorization process as required.

Knowledgeable regarding required forms.

Maintains supplies and equipment for treatments and assists in managing inventory.

Uses excellent team communication working with the multidisciplinary clinic teams.

Uses standardized work protocols consistently.

Completes departmental duties.

Knowledgeable and strictly adheres to HIPAA regulations.

Ability and willingness to float to other OMP clinics.

Regular and consistent attendance.
