Insight Global is looking to hire a PTA for one of their healthcare clients in Brockton, MA. Under the supervision of the Coordinators of Rehabilitation Services, plans and provides direct patient care in accordance with physician orders to rehabilitate therapeutically the physical faculties of outpatients, inpatients and Transitional Care Unit patients in order to achieve stated goals. Services are provided according to hospital and departmental policies and procedures and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides supervision to physical therapy aides.
- Provides clinical supervision to affiliating students under guidelines established by the participating educational institutions.
- Instructs and assists patients in a variety of functional activities.
- Performs and assists patients through a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques per established procedures, utilizing techniques specific to age group serviced.
- Recommends modification of treatment plan and goals. Maintains open communication with the primary therapist related to changes in the physical and mental status of patients and to any deviation in the anticipated rate of progress.
- Meets with the members of the patients care team in development and implementation care plans and discharge planning.
- Instructs patient care staff in their technique and equipment to facilitate the carryout of therapy
- Provides ongoing patient, family and caregiver education.
