Job Description

We are seeking a Surgical Coder who will be responsible for coding surgical cases within a singular specialty. They will use physician documentation for surgical procedures using diagnosis and procedural coders from ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding systems. Coders will work off of an operative note, path report, and H&P.

Specialties :  Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery

Shift : Monday – Friday, 8AM-4 : 30PM

  • Potential OT during month-end close
  • No time off during month-end, quarter-end, yearly-end close
  • Need weekend flexibility
  • REMOTE with MANDATORY Quarterly in-person meeting attendance

Requirements :

  • 2 years of experience coding complex surgical cases within the specialty - Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery
  • CPC certification
  • Cerner
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well with different groups.

    • Preferred Qualification :

  • Associates Degree
