Insight Global is seeking an experienced Marine Accounting Supervisor to lead a team of four senior accountants at one of Houston's top oil and gas companies. This role involves overseeing daily crude marine volume actualizations and general accounting processes, guiding the team in researching volume discrepancies, and ensuring volume actualization and settlement processes are accurate and timely. Responsibilities include reviewing cash forecasts to improve the accuracy of a three-month outlook, providing working capital variance explanations to the treasury, and supporting the resolution of aged receivables and payables. The supervisor will perform month-end closing procedures, ensuring reports are submitted on time, analyze inventory to explain volumetric variances between current, prior, and forecasted months, and review and address account reconciliations. Collaboration with the financial analysis team for balance sheet, income statement analysis, and margin tie-outs is essential, along with building strong relationships across front office, mid-office, credit, and treasury teams. This role requires a proven leader with excellent communication skills, a background in marine, crude, or commodity accounting, and the ability to interact effectively with high-level executives. Offering a flexible 9/80 hybrid schedule, this position requires only 6-8 days per month in the office.
