Job Overview
A leading life sciences company, Insight Global, seeks an analytical polymer chemist to join their research and development organization. This individual will be responsible for performing gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and inherent viscosity (IV) analysis of various polymer products and HPLC analysis of small organic compounds.
This role entails the development and validation of analytical methods, maintaining good documentation, and lab notebooks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GPC, HPLC, and other chromatographic techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry or related scientific discipline or MS Degree with 3 years of industry experience
- Education or industry experience in polymer required
- In-depth understanding and hands-on experience of GPC, HPLC, and other chromatographic techniques
- Technical writing skills, effective communication, and interpersonal/teamwork skills
- Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing
- GCP Experience
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
- Separation techniques - Empower 3 software is preferred
- Experience with test method development and validation experience is preferred
- Prior experience working in an analytical laboratory environment in a regulated industry is preferred
