Position : Sr. Application Engineer
Location : On Site -5 days a week – Can sit at any of the following locations : Delaware, OH, Westerville OH, Lincoln NE, or Huntsville, AL
Duration : PERM
Pay Rate : 115K – 143K
Must Haves :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems)
- 5 Years of experience in a technical engineering role
- Experience with Power Distribution Units (PDU)
- Experience working with customers to answer technical questions
- Experience with Network Protocols such as SNMP, Modbus, IPMI, JSON APIs, RedFish, etc..
- Comfortable with 25% travel both domestically and internationally

Day to Day / Responsibilities :
A client of Insight Global is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Sr. Applications Engineer specializing in Rack Power Distribution Units (PDUs). In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and technical support of rack PDU products, ensuring seamless integration with other components of physical infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering, sales, and product teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions for our clients, maintaining a high standard of reliability and performance. You will be responsible for supporting customer inquiries for pre and post sales questions relating to Rack PDUs. This individual will be taking calls from customers and should be able to answer most technical questions – hearing and understanding what the customer is asking for. This individual will also be responsible for going to client sites, trade shows, and other in person activities to help customers get a better understanding of the client’s products. This is not a sales role. However, experience in a sales engineering or similar customer facing roles is desirable.
