Salary: $115,000 - $160,000 / annually pending years of experience

A midsized insurance company is seeking an Application Team Lead to join their team in Hartford, CT on a hybrid basis. This team is going through a product transformation and the team is evolving so they need additional hands on deck to help speed up the process and aid in developing the team. The Application Team Lead would be directly responsible for leading their team, tracking their productivity and performance. They should leverage their technical knowledge and leadership skills to help drive their team towards the delivery of their goals. The team lead would collaborate with various business units across the organization and would work closely with other members of the IT team to update and create and update roadmaps and help with the overall governance of the program including reporting KPIs and OKRs to leadership. They would be a key contributor in planning and estimation of new projects. The Application Team lead would ensure that design, code and test plans reviews are conducted to standards. The ideal candidate should have experience of leading a team in the past and have a highly motivated mindset.

Must Haves:

7 years experience leading or hands on development of applications

Experience in full stack design/development utilizing .NET, Angular, API, C# and SQL

Prior experience of leading a team

Knowledge of modern Agile frameworks/practices such as Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, and test automation / test driven development

Nice to have:

SAFe agile work experience or similar process

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems

Property Casualty Insurance Experience

Experience leading multi-million dollar IT initiatives
