Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for the precise construction and assembly of mechanical and electronic components into finished products. They will work under minimal supervision, following established procedures to ensure accurate assembly and delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and follow fabrication documents and specifications to ensure accurate assembly.
- Use various hand and power tools to fit and secure parts and perform quality checks.
- Document progress, maintain safety standards, and ensure all components meet quality and functionality requirements.
- Prepare equipment, devices, and components for shipping.
- Study parts lists and gather necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials for work preparation.
- Read, interpret, and follow fabrication documents, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other instructions to accurately assemble equipment and products.
- Assist with verifying, testing, and documenting results of wiring terminations, cabling, and basic components.
- Maintain progress status by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
- Document and apply asset tags to equipment and devices, including model, serial, and asset information.
- Update progress on assigned tasks and daily time charging accurately in M.C. Dean systems.
- Follow the project Safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW).
- Assemble equipment racks, enclosures, back panels, and components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Route, secure, and terminate basic copper cables and assemblies.
- Assemble basic copper cable harnesses.
- Cut and drill various materials such as trough, strut, lumber, and aluminum.
- Kits equipment, devices, and materials for assembly and shipping.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must be able to pass a background test.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Individuals who have 3 years of recent warehouse assembly experience OR Individuals who have 3 years of recent electrical experience OR Individuals who have 3 years of recently being on a manufacturing line OR Individuals who have 3 years of recently being ecteronic/electrical/ESS/AV/Cable tech.
- Must have a High School Diploma.
- Must own hand tools (typical hand tool/toolbox).
