Automation Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join a critical project with one of our top consulting services partners. This individual will be part of a critical team responsible for testing and quality assurance efforts as part of a large scale cloud native product development effort. The ideal candidate possesses a solid foundation in developing and executing automated functional test scripts, and is capable of validating code changes and contributing to the success of the automated Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, and will be responsible for designing, scripting, and executing automated tests in an Agile development environment.

Additional responsibilities include :

Lead efforts within the team to implement Katalon Studio automation platform

Collaborate with the engineering Scrum team to understand requirements and design comprehensive automated test scripts using Selenium / Katalon.

Develop and execute automated tests to validate user stories within each Sprint.

Work within an Agile environment, continuously enhancing and refining automated testing processes for integration into the CI / CD pipeline.

Identify, document, and report defects using established tracking tools, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.

Contribute to the maintenance of the automated test framework, ensuring its scalability and effectiveness.

Participate in code reviews, sharing expertise and insights to ensure code quality and testability.

Stay current with new testing tools and test strategies, and share insights with the team to enhance QA processes.

Target Rate : $104,500 - $162,505

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI / CD) pipelines, such as Jenkins or CircleCI.

Experience with Katalon.

Familiarity with containerization and virtualization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience

Strong hands on experience with Katalon automation tools

5 years of experience scripting and executing automated test cases

Strong knowledge of Java, JavaScript, and SQL for Selenium automation, database verification, and testing.

Strong knowledge of version control systems, with 2 years of experience using Git and tools like GitHub or BitBucket.

Proven experience working in a highly Agile environment, with a deep understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.

Salary : $104,500 - $162,505
