Job Description:
Insight Global is searching for a Senior Back End Java Developer (NOT Fullstack) for one of our financial clients. Key Responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Create and manage APIs to support various front-end and mobile applications.
- Implement and maintain messaging systems using Kafka batch processing.
Team Details:
- Role sits in Enterprise Risk & Finance Technology's - Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT). Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) is the centralized, independent testing function focused on operating as an enterprise utility to test processes and controls that require testing across the company.
- Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) program focusses on enhancing technology to develop an end-to end testing platform that is flexible and nimble to onboard, execute and automate all type of tests, simplify infrastructure by reducing the number of applications and interdependencies.
Must Haves:
- Proven experience as a Backend Java Developer, with a strong focus on API development and Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in Java programming and a deep understanding of object-oriented principles.
- Experience with Kafka and building real-time data processing systems.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and implementation.
- The team is moving from monolithic to microservices architecture.
- Experience working in a cloud environment.
- General understanding of an OpenShift environment.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
Plusses:
- Previous banking experience preferred
