Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts receivable/insurance follow up in a healthcare organization
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of ICD10/CPT codes
- Experience overseeing a team
Responsibilities
- Insurance Collection Oversight: Ensure timely and effective monitoring of all insurance collection practices, maintaining optimal levels of aging accounts and accounts receivables. Oversee the denials management follow-up and appeal processes to resolve aged accounts promptly.
- Supervisory Training and Support: Provide supervisors with the training, information, and tools they need to perform their roles efficiently and maintain a competent team.
- Accounts Receivable Workstation Management: Serve as the point person for the Accounts Receivable Workstation system (ARWS). Conduct detailed research and strategy reviews to determine the most effective use of the system, aiming to maximize recovery using this technology.
- Denial Management Processes: Oversee all aspects of the insurance collection and denial management processes. Continuously review and improve these processes to ensure the most effective collection approaches are implemented.
- Supervisory Guidance: Inform and educate direct-reporting supervisors to ensure their success and growth within the organization.
- Compliance Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with governmental compliance mandates that impact your direct-reporting departments. Ensure all collection procedures adhere to these compliance requirements.
- Hiring Assistance: Participate in the hiring process to build a strong and capable staff.
- Process Review and Improvement: Conduct ongoing reviews of department processes to ensure efficient and effective results.
