What are the responsibilities and job description for the BIM Coordinator position at Insight Global?
We are currently seeking a BIM Coordinator here in Austin, TX with a background in industrial construction.
Day-to-Day
- Examine current state of Revit content for the projects underway and identify issues based on certain metrics
- Develop a centralized location for content to be stored and manage the platform and access across all teams
- Responsible for working directly with teams to establish standardized content and create a detailed log of all standardized content
- Create a simple, coherent naming strategy for content to adhere to and
- Use a ticket system to manage requests and tasks that designers can input into. Prioritize content based on project needs
- Responsible for working with designers to update model content with standardized families
- Develop custom parametric content for Revit for various design disciplines
Must-have:
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience working with Engineering and Design teams on a BIM technical support role.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit
- Experience working in a fast paced environment and can prioritize multiple tasks at once
- Understanding of LOD 100-500 models and be able to produce content for each level
- Clear communication and organizational skills
- Brings attention to detail to every aspect of work
