What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cable Technician position at Insight Global?
JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is looking for a Electrical/Cable Technician to join one of our largest DoD clients out of Warren, MI. This position is fully onsite and the core hours are 8 - 4. We are looking for someone who will be supporting a combat vehicle program building military standard cables. The majority of the time will be spent around the builds, but we also need someone willing to hop in where needed. For example, this person likely will also be apart of installing cables on benches or in vehicle as well. Outside of technical ability we are also looking for someone who has strong communication skills and is comfortable working cross functionally with government customers, as this person will also be providing updates on work to them frequently.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of experience building cables
- Highly preferred is previous DoD experience, with a background in military standard cables
- Strong communication and ability to work cross functionally with customers
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Salary : $50,000 - $80,000
