Job Title: Senior Drafter
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Drafter to join our team at Insight Global. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in shipbuilding and experience working with AutoCAD, Navis, and MS Excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating 3D models and 2D drawings of ship structures using AutoCAD and Ship Constructor
- Extracting 3D models to 2D for manufacturing purposes
- Assisting with drawing revisions and updates
- Working on structural pieces of the ship, including ceiling and stiffener plates
Requirements
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in a relevant industry or 10 years in a related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 2D design, and 3D designs for foundations/structures
- Experience working in the shipbuilding/ship-work space
