Location: On-site in Sparks/Reno, NV
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Designing site layouts, grading, paving, striping, and underground utility distribution drawings in the latest version of AutoCAD Civil 3D under the supervision of Licensed Civil Engineers.
* Conduct field reconnaissance to measure and document existing conditions for brownfield and greenfield developments.
* Participate in project planning meetings and cross-functional design reviews.
* Apply creative problem-solving skills to propose solutions beyond standard approaches.
* Collaborate with supervisors to address complex design challenges, selecting appropriate methods and techniques.
* 90% of their day to day in AutoCAD Civil 3D
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* B.S. in Civil Engineering or Civil Technology degree is preferred.
* 3 years of experience in civil engineering design, ideally involving site development or brownfield industrial sites.
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D including Plan and Profile development, pipe networks, pressure networks, grading functions, and surface development
