What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil/Structural Substation Engineer position at Insight Global?
Our large telecommunications client is looking for a Civil / Structural Substation Engineer to join there team in Lutz, FL (outside of Tampa). They will provide civil-structural engineering and technical expertise and supervision to Transmission Substation engineering and design teams for the purpose of delivering safe, cost-effective, and quality engineering and design services. Provide civil-structural specific design and direction on complex engineering and technical challenges for the projects. This role includes both direct billable client work (project work) and project management support for projects. The incumbent is expected to lead discipline specific work for projects, perform responsible charge engineering duties, and manage project schedules and budgets. They will also support proposal development, project cost estimating as well as supporting business development efforts. Should be able to understand and create substation civil-structural drawing packages (foundations, structural steel, bus and cable) utilizing national code, industry standards and best practices.
This position is permanent and onsite in Lutz, FL Monday-Friday.

- 4 year degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a college or university that is accredited by ABET
- 5-10 years experience as an Engineer with in Electrical Industry in the field of power delivery
- PE or ability to be licensed within a year
