What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at Insight Global?
An electronic manufacturing company is looking for a Machinist to join their team in Hampton, VA. As a CNC Machinist, you are responsible for the setup, optimization, and operation of various CNC Machines within the machine shop. You set up and operate CNC machines to create precision parts. You review blueprints, program the machines, and monitor their operation. You check the quality of the parts using measuring tools and perform routine maintenance on the equipment. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following EH&S policies and procedures.
Offers comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision plans, sick time and 401(K). Pay: $24- $25/hour (exact compensation may differ). Shift Options: M-F 6:00am-2:30pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience setting and operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC machine tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience using a range of measurement equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all TE policies and procedures, EHS and safety first together with delivering exception ECE.
- High School Diploma or GED - Must be a US citizen or have Green Card Status
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with Fanuc, Citizen and Mazatrol
