Day to day:
The Data Center Services (DCS) team oversees supporting the data center to make sure the site and infrastructure is suitable and up and running. Currently they have 2 buildings up and are in the process of starting the 3rd building. This person will be the subject matter expert (“SME”) relating to commissioning of all electrical/power distribution systems within the Data Center. They will need to handle budgeting, timeline, scope, etc. to ensure that the data center is ready and online during the construction process. The daily tasks will include factory witness testing, site acceptance inspection, pre-functional testing, functional performance testing, and integrated systems testing.
Must Haves:
- 5 years of commissioning experience
- 3 years experience in management leading large teams (3rd party commissioning agents)
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering
- Experience with BIM 360 or similar software
- Comfortable working overtime and being onsite in Reno, NV
- Strong leadership background to lead external general contractors, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and internal company operations teams
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and can adapt and adjust scheduling, sequences of commissioning, and resources
- Experience in a large data center environment or hyperscale data center environment
- Contract upwards of $250k - $1 billion
Pay range: $80-100/hr
